Dustin Poirier is a professional mixed martial artist in the United States. He is most recognized for being the interim Lightweight Champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In January of 1989, Dustin Poirier was born in Lafayette, Louisiana. Poirier has achieved the rank of black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He made his official mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in May of 2009, and he won his match against Aaron Suarez. In his first UFC bout, Dustin Poirier defeated Josh Grispi in January of 2011.

After beating Yancy Medeiros in June 2015, he was awarded the night’s Performance of the Night prize. By knocking out Jim Miller in the Battle of the Night in February of 2017, Dustin Poirier became the champion.
