He was born in Panama City, Florida, United States. His spouse is Marcie Campbell and he was born on February 1, 1950.

Mike was one of the best American stage performers and music producers. He wrote some the good songs that inspired the modern rock and pop genres. And inspired a number of artists especially guitarists who came after him.
