Nick Cave is an Australian singer, songwriter, author, screenwriter, music composer, and actor who is best known as the frontman of the Australian rock band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Nick, at the age of 13, was expelled from the Wangaratta High School, a secondary education institution in Wangaratta, Victoria. He had then become a boarder and later a day student at the Caulfield Grammar School, an independent, Anglican, international baccalaureate school in Melbourne.

After his high school graduation, he had joined the Caulfield Institute of Technology in 1976 to study painting. He had dropped out in 1977 to pursue a career in music.
